Bio

Ian Michaels is an American Symphonic Rock Artist with a Jazz and World twist. He got his first vocal and piano lessons and gave his first vocal performance at the age of 4.  At 10, he was writing songs on piano and at 12,  picked up the guitar. 
He was recognized for his outstanding talent and listed in Who's Who in Music in American High Schools .
At 23, Ian was working on the east coast as a performer in restaurants and clubs. 

Ian appears in the “Press On” video by Billy Sprague as the Harmonica playing minstrel opening and closing the video. He also appears in the cast of “Alpha & Omega” by English artist Adrian Snell and ""His Last Days" by Dallas Holmes.

BEYOND THE VEIL was his first album release of 14 originals. PROCESS OF ILLUMINATION, his concept Rock Opera of 9 originals and NEATLY TIED RELIGION, a mostly satirical collection of 13 songs, were both released in the spring of 2016. Ian released SHELTER, a collection of 11 lyrical originals, in October of 2016. RENAISSANCE, a 14 song collection of mostly neo-classical instrumentals, was released in December of 2016. COVENANT, a co-written collection of 11 songs that featured his wife, Nava for lead vocals on most, was released in May of 2018. a collection of 12 fan favorites entitled THE BEST OF IAN MICHAELS was released that summer. WHEN THINGS GET ECLECTIC, a collection of 11 instrumentals more in the Jazz and World genres, was released in the fall of 2018. KINGDOM COME, a 13 song collection, was released in the fall of 2022.

Currently, Ian continues writing, producing and performing various venues. His list of cover tunes include many favorites from mostly soft rock artists of the ‘70's -'90's.
